Altenew runs three educational offerings. The Altenew Educator Certification Program is a paid three-level certification that ends in a taught workshop. Altenew Academy sells self-paced classes with no certification. A set of downloadable resources is free.
The certification programme is the only one of the three that produces a credential.
Altenew Educator Certification Program
Three levels. Self-paced, with no deadlines between levels, and open to participants worldwide.
All materials, instruction, and assessment are in English only.

That figure is stated here because whether the programme is worth its cost is a reasonable question, and an answer that avoids the total is not useful to anyone deciding.
How assessment works
For Levels 1 and 2, participants complete the assigned classes and submit a final challenge, then email support@altenew.com with their submission entry numbers for review by the Altenew team.
For Level 3, participants email their assignment entries together with a proposed workshop plan and preferred teaching dates. The workshop is then designed, proposed, and taught.
This is a teaching requirement, not an examination.

What the certification is not
- Not an accredited academic qualification. It is a brand certification.
- Not a guarantee of income. It creates eligibility for teaching, sponsorship, and higher commissions. It is not a job placement.
- Not available in other languages. English only.
- Not time-limited. There are no deadlines and no requirement to complete a level within a set period.
Altenew Academy
Paid, self-paced online classes taught by experienced crafters. There is no assessment and no certification track.
Academy classes also serve as the coursework for the certification programme. The Academy is instruction; the certification programme is credentialing.
